In the midst of everything happening in the world, I have decided that the best way to spend my free time is to start a fashion blog.

Yes, I know it's not the most helpful nor the most necessary thing right now and I know this practically reeks of privilege but personally, I think the best thing I can do is to stay at home and not provide any more strain to my country's deteriorating health system since I'm not qualified to propose laws nor am I anywhere near licensed to be a health professional soooooo I will do what I do best which is to try to be funny whilst being creative and fashionable. *breathes* Wow that was a very long sentence. ANYHOO

I started this blog along with an instagram account (@byclariza) because I wanted a medium to express my fashion thoughts and just write or post about things that I find beautiful or cute without having to dig through the endless memes or political rants I post on my personal social media accounts. I want to compile my fashion thoughts and future fashion plans in one place. I also got very inspire by "bestdressed", a youtuber from New York who is just extremely genuine. Here's a link to her account. I realized from her that if I wanted to start my blog, I should just do it and start now. You never know, it might be a huge success in the future but I don't think it will be anything unless I start it today.

Anyway, I posted this photo on my IG account because of three different reasons and these reasons is something I want this blog to be or to contain.

  1. My Bubbly Personality - it really shows in this photo that I'm not really a serious person. I just want to have fun and goof around and always do this because it makes me happy.

  2. My Current Personal Style - this photo sums up my fashion style as of 2020 soooo ya. This is still a fashion blog, lol

  3. The First Item I designed that I was able to sell - For my college thesis, we were tasked to create a product to sell for a year and for me, that was the plastic/leather envelope you see there. I'll elaborate more on what happened with that product but for this post, I want to have that again. Seeing something I made come to life and loved by others as well.

But fashion isn't really something that was a big part of my life. I didn't have any relatives that I was closed to who owned boutiques or went to fashion school. I just think of it as something fun to talk about and look at and I believe that's okay. Fashion, for me, is just about saying "hello".

Whatever we choose to wear (or not wear) right now is how we want to express to the universe who we want to be in that moment.
